Tux Paint 0.9.19 is a drawing program for children ages 3 to 12.
Its installer supports 13 different languages, but once installed it can use 81 languages (including Klingon!).
During the setup you can fully customize the program, allowing users to print or not, setting video, sound, mouse and keyboard parameters, simplifying the interface, and setting parameters for the data saving.
When you start the program, you will be presented with a white space, in which you can draw using the tools on your left. When you choose a tool, the different types of this tool that are available will appear on your right. You can pick the color that the chosen tool will use at the bottom of the screen.
You can use tools like Paint, Stamp, Lines, Shapes, Text, Magic, Undo, Redo and Eraser. You can save your work, load a saved work, start a new one or print the draw.
The program is oriented to be used by kids, so it doesn´t have some functions that are provided in other programs. But will surely attract every kid in the house. |
